Kaman to Transfer Management of its Electro-Optics Development Center to its Fuzing Division

September 21, 2006

BLOOMFIELD, Conn.--September 21, 2006-- Kaman Corp. today announced that it is transferring management of its Electro-Optics Development Center (EODC) based in Tucson, Arizona to the company's Fuzing Division. The management shift accompanies the planned year-end retirement of Dr. Bobby L. Ulich, who has had a 21-year career with Kaman and EODC.

EODC and the Fuzing Division are both part of the company's Aerospace segment. In the new reporting structure, EODC will be under the leadership of Fuzing Division President James Larwood.

Paul R. Kuhn, chairman, president and CEO, said, "Dr. Ulich founded EODC, and his many contributions during his long career with the company have been recognized and appreciated. EODC will remain located in the Tucson community and now will continue to execute its growth strategies under Jim Larwood's leadership. The natural synergies that exist between EODC and the Fuzing Division are expected to benefit both of these businesses."

EODC provides a range of specialized services, including system design, modeling and simulation, fabrication, integration, testing, operation, training and data analysis. Its business is primarily defense-related programs for the U. S. Government.

The Fuzing Division designs and manufactures missile and bomb fuzing devices for the U. S. and allied militaries along with a range of measuring systems and memory products for commercial and defense applications. The Aerospace segment also is a leading manufacturer of widely used proprietary airframe bearings and components, is a subcontractor for complex metallic and composite structures and components for commercial, military and general aviation aircraft, and markets and supports the SH-2G and K-MAX helicopters.
