We also support charitable and civic organizations such as arts councils, boy and girl scouts, food pantries, and health organizations. Please visit our In the Community page to learn more.

- Performance Management
Collaborative goal-setting and ongoing dialogue between managers and employees helps to ensure alignment between individual and organizational goals.
- Succession Planning
Building leaders for the future is an important part of what we do. Through the Kaman Leadership Development Program (KLDP) we identify potential future leaders and provide them with a variety of developmental opportunities. We also work to ensure we have a strong bench of talent throughout the organization.
- Recruiting and Hiring
Through a variety of programs ranging from internal job postings to on-site college recruiting to social media outreach, Kaman focuses on hiring exceptional people.
- Total Rewards
Ensuring that employees are appropriately compensated for their contributions is a key focus for Kaman. Our employees enjoy a total rewards package that is consistently among the most comprehensive in business today.
Human Capital Excellence
Our people are our most important asset. When they excel, we excel. We build organizational excellence by challenging our people and ensuring they have the opportunities, tools, and support to continually grow and develop. Working with intelligent, enthusiastic people in highly progressive teams on a wide variety of projects is a significant reason why our people stay with us for many years. We understand that organizational excellence starts and ends with our people—our foundation.
The Kaman Leadership Development Program recognizes and cultivates talented individuals from all divisions of the company who not only have made significant contributions to Kaman but also are seen as future leaders. In addition to having an undergraduate degree, selection criteria include excellent communication and interpersonal abilities as well as a commitment to self-development and ongoing learning.
Participants in the program meet regularly with senior management and take on projects that complement their individual career aspirations. They also create individual development plans with senior leadership in the Human Resources Department.
As they gain a broader understanding of the strategic direction of Kaman Corporation, participants also develop closer working relationships across the company. Working sessions build relationships and develop key areas, including finance, project management and leadership skills.
Kaman Corporation is committed to building a supportive and rewarding work environment. Part of that commitment is providing employees with a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.
