Thomas Rabaut

Thomas Rabaut has been a director since 2008. He currently serves as an Operating Executive at The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm, where he has been working since January 2007. From June 2005 to January 2007, he was President of hte Land & Armaments Perating Group of BAE Systems, a global leader in the design, development, and production of military systems. From January 1994 to June 2005, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of United Defense Industries, Inc., which as acquired by BAE Systems in 2005.

Mr. Rabaut is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and he served five years in the United States Army. He is currenly Vice Chairman of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA); serves as Lead Director of Allison Transmission Holdings, Inc., a manufacturer of fully automatic transmissions for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, medium- and heavy-tactical U.S. military vehicles, and hybrid propulsion systems for transit buses; and serves on the boards of a number of other privately held companies. He previously served as a director of Cytec Industries, Inc., a supplier of advanced composite products.

The Board believes that these positions demonstrate an extensive history of senior executive leadership positions in the aerospace and defense industries. His professional Board experience provides the Board with additional perspectives on the aeropsace industry, defense markets, international markets, and acquisitions from commercial, defense, market and sales standpoints.
