Karon BX: Qualified to AS81820 Type A
Developed in the 1970´s, the KAron® bearing liner system has been repeatedly selected for use in the most demanding aviation, marine, hydro power and industrial applications.Noted for its high performance and low wear rate, KAron has become an ideal replacement for PTFE fabric-lined bearings. Its performance has proven superior in providing longer life and lower maintenance costs, even when operating in areas of high moisture, fluid/debris contamination and elevated temperatures.
KAron BX liner technology is Kamatics next generation of liners, providing longer life and improved friction under higher loads. KAron BX was designed initially with one goal in mind; meet the increased demands of AS8120 Type A. After a 100,000 cycles at 35,000 PSI, Kamatics BX liner showed less than .001 of liner wear. This achievement led to our approval and confirmation that Kamatics BX liner technology is a game changer.Kamatics’ drive to be the performance leader still left us asking, "Could our BX technology be pushed even further, maybe to 1,000,000 cycles?" After running BX at max load for 40% more cycles than AS81820 Type A required, the bearing still met AS81820 Type A and still fell within the allowable wear limit.
