Terry Higginbotham Named VP Military Helicopter Marketing For Kaman Aerospace International
BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- M. Terry Higginbotham has been appointed vice president, military helicopter marketing for Kaman Aerospace International Corp., the international affiliate of Kaman Aerospace Corp. (NASDAQ:KAMNA)
(KAC), it was announced by Walter R. Kozlow, KAC president.
In his new position, Higginbotham, 55, will have responsibility for the marketing of Kaman's military products, including its SH-2G multi-mission, maritime helicopter, to foreign governments. He also will have collateral responsibilities for Kaman Aerospace Corp.
In announcing Higginbotham's appointment, Kozlow said, "I am very pleased to have someone of Terry's well-deserved reputation for results, teamwork and customer focus as part of the Kaman Aerospace International team. His international marketing experience and helicopter background will be valuable in helping us meet our objectives in global military markets."
Higginbotham joins Kaman after a 22-year career with the U.S. Army and subsequently with McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems in Mesa, Ariz., and Boeing's Military Aircraft & Missile Systems group in St. Louis, Mo. After retiring from the Army in 1985 with the rank of lieutenant colonel, Higginbotham joined McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems as area sales manager for Western Europe, and in 1988 he was promoted to manager of international marketing for the Apache AH-64 helicopter. In 1995, he was promoted to manager of international business development, and a year later was named director. In 1997, following Boeing's acquisition of McDonnell Douglas, he was appointed director of international business development in Boeing's Military Aircraft and Missile Systems division.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Higginbotham received his bachelor's degree in history from St. Martin's College and his master's degree in business management from Central Michigan University. He also is a graduate of the U.S. Army flight school in both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.
