Robert Bateman Promoted to Vice President, Internal Audit at Kaman Corp.

BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- (Nasdaq: KAMNA) Kaman Corp. has announced the promotion of Robert Bateman to vice president, internal audit. He reports to Robert M. Garneau, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

In addition to his responsibility for Kaman's internal audit function, Bateman's duties will include oversight of the company's implementation of the internal control assessment and reporting provisions required by Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

Bateman joined Kaman Corp. in 2001 as director of internal audit and in 2002 was promoted to assistant vice president. Prior to joining Kaman, he was a senior manager with KPMG LLP. He has also worked with Johnson & Johnson as a controller for their Norwood, Massachusetts operation and was a production superintendent with Hazen Paper Company.

He received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1988 and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1991.

Bateman is a certified public accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He lives with his wife and daughter in Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

Kaman Corp., headquartered in Bloomfield, conducts business in the aerospace, industrial distribution and music distribution markets.
