Gary L. Tong was appointed the position of Assistant Vice President, Corporate Risk, Safety and Environmental Management in 2007. He manages corporate-wide responsibility for all aspects of risk management, safety, environmental issues and property management at Kaman. With over 25 years of related industry experience, he joined Kaman from Belden Inc. , St. Louis, MO, where he was director of environmental, health and safety/risk management. He had been associated with Belden since 1994. He also previously held environmental engineering positions with Borden Inc., Columbus, OH, Ameritech Services in Schaumberg, IL, General Motor Corp. in Dayton, OH, and Goodyear Atomic Corp. in Piketon, OH. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Risk Manager. Gary and his family reside in Canton, CT.
