Work under the general direction of the Controller with limited supervision.  General duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Participate in monthly closing process to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare various financial statement supplemental schedules as requested.
  • Perform fixed asset accounting for various companies including additions/disposals, depreciation entries and supplemental schedules
  • Work with other functional areas and divisions to perform assigned tasks.
  • Administer finance policies and procedures including coordination of sunset reviews and other updates.
  • Perform various other responsibilities including SOX testing.
  • Prepare various internal reports for use by management, operations, and corporate.
  • Process inter-company and miscellaneous billings to affiliates and customers.
  • Complete and assist in various other projects and assignments as warranted and make presentations to department of company staff as required.


  • Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX.)  Knowledge of principles related to accounting for fixed assets and intermediate experience in spreadsheet and database software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline.
  • Over 5 and up to 7 years of related experience to qualify.


  • Must possess good detail orientation and organizational skills; a focus on accuracy with respect to employee time and attendance records is critical.

  • Possess ability to work under high levels of demand while maintaining customer service orientation.

  • Proficient level of written/verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and develop business relationships with a diverse range of individuals.

  • Good analytical, continuous improvement and process orientation skills.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and their application in a financial setting.

  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in order to access export controlled technology.
