Bob Manaskie
General Manager
Helicopter Aftermarket Product Group, Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Bob Manaskie joined Kaman Aerospace in 1981 as an Industrial Engineer with primary focus on the SH-2 helicopter. He rose through the industrial engineering ranks from 1981-1992 and then progressed on to supervisor of Helicopter Flight Test from 1992-1995. During this time, Manaskie participated in the development and certification of the K-MAX helicopter.
In 1996, he became program manager of Kamans first SH-2 Helicopter International Program, delivering 10 SH-2 helicopters to Egypt. After the last delivery in 1999, Manaskie was promoted to Director of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for more than 125 engineers in Connecticut. While in this position, he was instrumental in managing the transition of the Kaman Moosup facility to Jacksonville, Florida.
In 2002, he took on the management of the Egypt depot level maintenance and upgrade program, the Australian support team in Nowra, Australia, and the Publication Group.
In 2007, Bob was promoted to Sr. Manager of Helicopter Aftermarket, responsible for all support and services provided to our SH-2 customers in New Zealand, Poland, and Egypt.
Currently, he is General Manager of Helicopter Aftermarket, adding the K-MAX to his responsibilities as well as P&L for his product group.

Timothy A. Bates
General Manager, Blade Center of Excellence & Subcontracts Product Group
Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Tim Bates was appointed General Manager in January 2010, with P&L responsibilities for the Rotor Blade and various Subcontract Programs. Bates has spent the majority of his career with Kaman Aerospace since joining the company in 1986, with increasing responsibilities in each role. His career began as an Industrial Engineer and he quickly progressed throughout various positions within Operations Management. In 1995, he was appointed Boeing Program Manager, followed by Integrated Product Team leader for International Helicopter Programs in 1997. In 2004, Bates was appointed Director of Operations.
Bates received his Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

Terry P. Fogarty
General Manager, UAS Product Group
Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Terry Fogarty is a U.S. Navy veteran and has more than 35 years of military and commercial helicopter experience, both domestic and international, in the areas of helicopter logistics, helicopter maintenance, and program management. In his present capacity, he is responsible for UAS programs within Kaman, including technical development, customer relationships, strategic partnerships, and leading the business efforts. In his previous assignment, Fogarty was the Director for K-MAX Programs and General Manager of the K-1200 Repair Station.
Fogarty has extensive field experience in commercial and military helicopter operations, both ashore and at sea.
He holds a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic license, Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Mark A. Tattershall
Director of Marketing and Business Development
Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Mark A. Tattershall has worked as Director of Marketing and Business Development for Kaman Helicopters since June 2008. In 2006, Tattershall was appointed Vice President, Weapons Handling and Motion Control Systems at Breeze-Eastern Corporation who manufacture Helicopter Rescue Hoists, Cargo Winches, Cargo Hooks, Weapons Handling and Motion Control Systems. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2006, he was Global Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for Capewell Components LLC, manufacturers of Aerospace Life Support and Aerial Delivery Equipment. From 1992 to 1996 he served in increasingly senior positions from Senior Engineer, Engineering Manager to Business Development Manager at Bridport Aviation (now Amsafe Bridport). In 1981, Tattershall was appointed as a Final Inspector and Quality Manager at Westland Helicopters, Yeovil, England, where he spent 10 years.
Tattershall is a member of the American Institute of Aerospace and Aeronautics (AIAA) ADS Technical Committee. He also is a member of the Connecticut Export Council, and numerous other professional organizations that includes the Joint Air Transport Evaluation Unit (JATEU), AUSA, AAAA and AUVSI.
He served a five-year engineering apprenticeship and holds a Bachelors of Science (Honors) Degree from Bournemouth University in Engineering Business Development.

Clifford T. Gunsallus
Vice President, Engineering
Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Cliff Gunsallus has worked at Kaman for 30 years and has experience in management to achieve business goals, product development, technology development and systems engineering for helicopters and related systems. He brings to this position a wealth of technical experience including composite and metallic structures, on-blade controls, rotor analysis and helicopter and rotor dynamics and stability, as well as the development of autonomous flight controls for VTOL systems. He is also directly involved in Kaman's business development activities and development technology programs. In his current role as the Vice President, Engineering, Gunsallus is responsible for the Systems, Design and Analysis functional organizations and the Test and Development functional organizations.

- Gunsallus has published a number of papers on helicopter fatigue methodology, and remote load monitoring systems. He holds numerous patents on servo-flap rotor control methods, remote dynamic load monitoring, and high-energy-density storage systems. He is a member of Chi Epsilon and a member of Tau Beta Pi. Gunsallus is also a member of the American Helicopter Society (AHS), Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) and Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).

Lee W. Schatzlein
Vice President, Finance

Lee Schatzlein was appointed Vice President, Finance, in January 2009. He has spent the majority of his career with Kaman Aerospace, joining the company in 1989 as a Budget Analyst and holding various positions of increasing responsibility within Finance throughout his career.
Schatzlein received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Bryant College and a Masters in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Thomas E. Fairbank
Director of Operations
Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Tom Fairbank joined Kaman Helicopters in September 2010. Prior to joining Kaman, Fairbank was Director of Operations at SARGENT Manufacturing in New Haven, Connecticut. At SARGENT, he was responsible for managing daily operations, including Lean, supply chain and strategic sourcing initiatives. Prior to SARGENT, he was Director, Business Systems for Primary Steel LLC, with responsibility for Lean implementation across seven divisions across the U.S.
Prior to Primary Steel LLC, he had a 17-year career with The Wiremold Company, serving in a number of progressively responsible positions, including division manager.
A native of Connecticut, Fairbank received both his Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering technology and his Masters degree in Operations Management from Central Connecticut State University.

Jeffrey R. Ballard
Manager, Continuous Performance Improvement
Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Jeff Ballard is Manager of Continuous Performance Improvement for Kaman Helicopters. Ballard recently joined the Helicopters Division after a long career at Hamilton Sundstrand (HS). He brings more than 30 years of aerospace manufacturing and continuous improvement experience to his role at Kaman. In 2006, Ballard joined the HS Operations Strategy Group as a Business Transformation Manger, responsible for lean transformation at various aerospace plant sites, joint ventures and suppliers. He has led more than 100 events and training sessions on lean transformation and quality improvements. In addition to cell level Kaizen Events, Ballard has also led international 3P events for new factories design. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2006, he was a Process Control Engineer implementing continuous improvement tools at both HS plant sites and at their suppliers. Several of the teams he led were recognized as top ten quality teams, and one team won the HS Division Quality Award. From 1992 to 1996, he began his process improvement career as a Statistical Process Control Analyst responsible for implementing SPC in various manufacturing areas and at key suppliers. He spent his first 14 years as a limited production machinist responsible for planning and machining complex aerospace hardware.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Quality Systems Management from the National Graduate School, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Western New England College. He is certified by the American Society for Quality as a Six Sigma Black Belt and a Quality Engineer, and as a Six Sigma Black Belt by the National Graduate School.

Gary Setta
Manager, Human Resources

Gary J. Setta is Manager of Human Resources. He is responsible for the Human Resources function and reports to Salvatore S. Bordonaro.
Prior to his position as Manager, Human Resources, Setta was Senior Vice President, human resources and administration for Farmington Savings Bank in Farmington, CT. At Farmington Savings Bank he was responsible for human resources, facilities management, purchasing and security. Prior to joining Farmington Savings Bank, Setta was Region Human Resources Manager in Hartford, CT for xpedx, a division of International Paper, where he oversaw the human resources function for the companys Northeast Region. Prior to joining xpedx, he had an 11-year career with Unisource Worldwide, Inc. serving in a number of progressively responsible positions and left as Field Vice President, Human Resources. Before joining Unisource Worldwide, Inc. he was with The Travelers Insurance Companies.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Setta received his bachelors degree in secondary education from Villanova University in Villanova, PA, and his masters degree in human resources management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Rensselaer, NY.

Michael Horner
Manager, Contracts
Helicopters Division, Kaman Aerospace Group
Michael Horner is the Manager of Contracts for Kaman Helicopters. Horner has more than 14 years experience drafting, negotiating, and managing international and domestic contracts in the aerospace industry. In 2009, prior to his arrival at Kaman, Horner was appointed the Senior Commercial Director at IAE International Engines AG, where he led a group of contracts professionals responsible for negotiating and managing engine sales and service contracts with airlines and leasing companies around the world.
Horner has a J.D. from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law and a B.S. in International Business from Central Connecticut State University.
