1945 Kaman Aircraft Corporation is founded in Windsor Locks, CT
1957 Kaman Nuclear is founded in Albuquerque, NM. This subsidiary would later become Kaman Sciences.
1961 AirKaman, Inc. is founded in Windsor Locks, CT, a provider of fixed-base operations at airports.
1962 Texas Bio-Nuclear of Austin, TX is acquired.
1962 Power Transmission Systems, Inc. of NJ is acquired.
1964 AviDyne Research, Inc. of Burlington MA is acquired.
1965 Kaman launches the KAcarb products division, which will later become Kamatics.
1965 Kaman sells Power Transmission Systems, Inc. of NJ.
1966 Ovation Instruments is founded upon the invention of the Ovation Guitar.
1967 The acquisitions of Coast Wholesale Music Company of Los Angeles and Coast Wholesale Music Company of San Francisco add the music distribution business to the company's Ovation Guitar manufacturing operations.
1967 AirKaman of Omaha, NE is formed.
1968 AirKaman of Jacksonville, Florida is formed.
1968 Kaman Sciences is formed out of four scientific divisions: Kaman Nuclear, AviDyne, Kaman Systems Centers, and SEA.
1970 National Music String, Co of Brunswick, NJ is acquired.
1971 Kaman initiates what would eventually become Kaman Industrial Technologies when it acquires Reliable Bearing and Supply Co. of San Bernardino, CA and Western Bearings Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT. This marks the beginning of the industrial distribution business.
1971 C. Bruno and Son, a national musical instrument distributor in CT, GA, IL, and TX is acquired.
1972 BITCO of Spokane, WA, an industrial products and services distributor is acquired.
1972 Currier Piano Inc. of Marion, NJ is acquired.
1973 Kaman's KAcarb products division becomes Kamatics Corporation of Bloomfield, CT.
1974 All Bearing Service, Inc. of California and Washington is acquired.
1975 Kaman acquires Nuclear Controls and Electronics of Salt Lake City, UT.
1975 Kaman continues to build its industrial distribution business. Everett Transmission & Rubber Company of Washington. Syracuse Bearing of Syracuse, New York and Strum and Drum Inc. of Wheeling, IL are acquired.
1976 Kaman acquires Keystone Bearing & Supply Company of Pennsylvania.
1977 Kaman acquires Ventura County Bearing House of California, Mill and Industrial Supply Company of Pennsylvania, and Robert J. Ulpinger, Inc. of Syracuse, NYfor the industrial distribution business.
1978 Kaman acquires Bearing Service and Supply, Inc. of Virginia and Minnesota; Bayshore Service and Supply of Minnesota; Winn Supply Company of California and Industrial Service, Inc. of Colorado.
1979 Kaman acquires Bearing House of Santa Maria, Inc. of Santa Barbara, CA; Coastal Plans, Inc. of Idaho; Valley Bearings and Power Transmission, Inc. of Sacramento, CA; Star Machinery of Portland, OR; and O.J. Industries, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT.
1979 Kaman forms AirKaman of Westover, Inc. of Chicopee, MA
1980 Kaman acquires United Industrial Supply, California and Trans Power Inc, Indiana.
1981 Kaman acquires Arrowhead Bearing, Inc, Minnesota and K&S Bearings, Inc, California.
1981 Kaman acquires GE Tempo of Santa Barbara, CA
1981 Kaman Instrumentation Corporation of Colorado Springs, CO is founded.
1981 Kaman Music International Corporation is founded.
1982 Kaman Sciences acquires Dikewood Corporation of Albuquerque, NM.
1982 Kaman Corp sells all AirKaman operations, except Jacksonville.
1982 Kaman Instrumentation Corporation splits away from Kaman Sciences to provide manufacturing capabilities for precision measuring devices.
1982 Kaman forms Kaman Aircraft Bearing Corporation.
1982 Kaman acquires Bearings Supply Company of California and Coastal Plains, Inc. of Utah.
1983 Kaman acquires Coastal Plains, Inc, Florida; TEK Bearing & Drive, Connecticut; and Eastern Bearings & Drive, Inc, Kentucky.
1984 Kaman Bearing acquires Transmission Inc. of Dayton, OH and Cincinnati, OH.
1985 Kaman acquires Electromagnetic Launch Research, Cambridge, MA, which will later become Kaman Electromagnetics.
1985 Kaman acquires Bearings and Materials Handling Co., Inc, TX and Yuma Bearing and Supply Co, Inc, AZ.
1986 Locus Inc. of Boalsburg, PA is acquired.
1986 Kaman acquires Raymond Engineering Inc. of Middletown, CT, a manufacturer of electromechanical devices and assemblies and navigational tape memory systems.
1988 Kaman Music acquires Hamer Guitars of Illinois to become the largest independent distributor of musical instruments in the U.S.
1992 Kaman Music, a unit of Kaman, acquires Trace Elliot, Ltd of Essex,United Kingdom.
1994 Kaman Linear Systems is formed as an element of Kaman Industrial Technologies.
1994 Kaman acquires Hornberger Music Ltd, a music distribution business in Ontario, Canada.
1997 Kaman divests Airkaman of Jacksonville.
1997 Kaman Sciences is divested to ITT Industries.
1998 Trace Elliot, a unit of Kaman Corp's Kaman Music Corp subsidiary, is divested to Gibson Corp.
1999 The Aircraft Products division is divested to Wesco Aircraft Hardware Supply Corp.
2001 Kaman acquires the distribution business unit of A-C Supply Inc, a manufacturer and wholesaler of various industrial products.
2001 Plastic Fabricating Co Inc, a manufacturer of plastic aircraft structural components, is acquired from HIG Investment Group.
2002 Delamac de Mexico SA de CV, a wholesaler of industrial products, is acquired.
2002 Kaman divests its microwaves product line to Meggitt Safety Systems LLC.
2002 Kaman acquires the Dayron division (DR) of DSE Inc, a manufacturer of fabricated metal parts and high-tech bomb fuzes.
2002 Kaman acquires RWG Frankenjura-Industrie Flugwerklager GmbH, a manufacturer of spherical and ball bearings, rod ends, brushings and specialty components primarily for the aerospace industry.
2002 Latin Percussion Inc, a retailer of percussion musical instruments, is acquired.
2003 Kaman acquires Industrial Supplies, Inc. of Birmingham, AL.
2003 Kaman divests the electric motor and drive business to DRS Technologies.
2005 Kaman acquires Musicorp, a wholesale distributor of musical instruments and accessories based in Charleston, SC, the second largest American musical instrument distributor after Kaman Music.
2007 Kaman Music Corp. is divested to Fender Musical Instruments.
2007 Kaman divests the 40-mm bus fuzing line to DSE Inc.
2008 Industrial Supply Corp, a wholesaler of power transmission products is acquired.
2008 Kaman acquires Brookhouse Holdings Ltd, manufacturer of composite aerospace components, tools and engineering equipment.
2008 Kaman acquires Industrial Rubber & Mechanics Inc. (INRUMEC), a wholesaler of fluid power products in Puerto Rico.
2010 Kaman acquires the fluid power distributor Fawick de Mexico of Mexico City.
2010 Kaman acquires the power transmission distributor Allied Bearings Supply of Tulsa, OK.
2010 Kaman acquires the national motion control distributor Minarik of Glendale, CA, the largest industrial distribution acquisition in the company's history.
2010 Global Aerosystems of Everett, WA is acquired.
2011 Minarik Co., a subsidiary of KIT, acquires Automation Technology, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT and Boise, ID.
2011 Kaman acquires Target Electronic Supply, Inc. of Westwood, MA
2011 Kaman acquires Vermont Composites, Inc. of Bennington, VT
2011 Kaman acquires Catching Fluid Power of Bolingbrook, IL, a Parker tri-motion distributor.  In connection with the acquisition Kaman is awarded a Parker national reseller agreement, the first of its kind.
2011 Kaman acquires Plains Bearing Corp. of Lubbock, TX
2012 Florida Bearings, Inc. of Miami, FL, is acquired by Kaman Industrial Technologies.
